My favorite thing to listen to while I’m laying down and trying to sleep tends to be a podcast. I’m one of those kind of people that needs to hear noise all the time to feel my most comfortable. Podcasts are a nice medium, because they are interesting but not movie-level exciting and engaging. At least, for me. So here are my favorite Podcasts:
Sayer (http://geeklyinc.com/category/sayer/): Sayer is amazing. This podcast is probably my favorite. It’s an episodic sci-fi thriller adventure….thing. It follows an AI that cares about humanity’s advancements into the future that it’d do anything to accomplish just that. It’s awesome and unfortunately just ended recently. Should definitely check it out.
Editor’s Note: Though, as Dylan states, the Sayer podcast has ended, there is currently one comic book in the Sayer universe, with hopefully more to come.
Hunt the Truth (http://huntthetruth.tumblr.com/): This is a podcast centered in the Halo universe. Its episodic as well (kinda my thing) It follows a reported who is paid by the ominous UNSC ONI department to write a piece about the Master Chief; savior of the universe and such. However as he digs he finds out more than he intended and then has to make some tough decisions. Truth or freedom?
Serial (https://serialpodcast.org/): An episodic podcast about the murder of Hae Min Lee and questions surrounding the conviction of Adnan Syed.
Editor’s Note: Dylan is currently listening to Season 1, about the Hae Min Lee case. Serial S2 is currently ongoing and is about Bowe Bergdahl, the serviceman who left his base in Afghanistan and was captured by the Taliban.
Limetown (http://www.limetownstories.com/): Editor’s Note: At the time of publishing this, Dylan had just started this podcast. He hadn’t given a write-up, but wanted the world to know that he had dropped other hows for this one because it “is awesome”.
