We’ve posted Loudon Wainwright III’s The Swimming Song a number of times over the years. It’s made it’s share of mix CDs that I’ve handed out and it holds a place on a number of personal playlists, including one simply titled “Happy”.

And how can it not be? The message is simple and clear…life can be frightening, dangerous, and anxiety-inducing. But you swim anyway, because what else is there?

Today’s track is a cover of that classic by artist Haroula Rose.

Rose, who’s talents expand beyond her spirited, gentle vocals into the realms of music, film, and acting, will release her next album in 2016. She’s keeping us in good music until then with the recent release of a series of excellent covers, available at her courtesy. Check out her rendition of The Swimming Song:
