An epic tale of rock and roll history and an example of the excellence that is Bowie. It goes like this:

Mott the Hoople was a fairly unrecognized band on the verge of break-up due to lack of success. Mr. David Bowie was a fan. And what do you do when one of your favorite bands is about to break-up? Why, you convince them to stay together, write for them one of rock’s all-time greatest songs (or two; Suffragette City had been a contender) and make them into a hit.
